Blount County BOE seeks $66M from Commission

The Blount County Board of Education is seeking $66M from the Commission for renovations at Heritage and William Blount High Schools.  MBI met with the school board recently to detail design plans for each facility. For more information, visit the Daily Times.

Jail Committee Passes $17.4M Option

Loudon County Corrections Partnership Committee considered five options from Michael Brady Inc., and TreanorHL ranging from $16.4 million to $19.4 million. For $17.4 million, the county would get four jail pods and new booking, visitation, kitchen, laundry and recreation, but no additional parking. Renovations would be added at a later time.
